Hi,

What are the differences of rootfs and initramfs in terms of behavior and functionality as both are going to have the same content but in different format?

Please reply with detailed explanation!

If you need to learn about linux, read, young man. Google and read.

A rootfs id the hard disk install of your system. Until that disk is mounted there is only the kernel in memory. If that is short on kernel modules, there is an initrd or initramfs mounted on / which has what's missing. This vanishes when the rootfs is mounted on /
