Iam trying to validate Linux kernel on my custom embedded board ex: beagle bone black can any one help me how to do it iam using yocto


Iam trying to test my kernel on beagle bone black and the build system iam using is yocto. Can any one help me how to test my kernel on the target iam even trying to use kselftest but unable to install it or get it inside of the beagle bone image. If any one tried kernel testing on embedded boards please help me.

Would be nice to give us some details, like how did you build your kernel and how did you try to install it (and what's happened at all).

If you give the complete procedure also for building and testing kernel on beagle bone or any embedded board with less memory is fine. In the kernel-source dir using make i was able build selftest but how to get it inside the rootfs is the question any procedure to do kernel validation on embedded memory constrained device is appreciated �� TQ.

That's why I asked to tell us more details. I think the best you can do is just install it and use and you will see.
But it looks like you have some difficulties. Would be nice to speak about that.
