i2c can't see my chips

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie to I2C. I have a pc with ubuntu on it. On my cpu there are two chips which I'm trying to access using i2c user-space. I have installed i2c-tools and i2c-dev. I tried to run i2cdetect and got:
i2c-0 i2c i915 gmbus ssc I2C adapter
i2c-1 i2c i915 gmbus vga I2C adapter
i2c-2 i2c i915 gmbus panel I2C adapter
i2c-3 i2c i915 gmbus dpc I2C adapter
i2c-4 i2c i915 gmbus dpb I2C adapter
i2c-5 i2c i915 gmbus dpd I2C adapter

The problem is that I don't to know which device should I open in order to access my chips.
Would be glad to get some help.
