Will linux work with an ATI X700pro?

Hi, I have a system and I will making it into a linux fileserver, I currently have a Ati Radeon x700Pro and I would like to know if it will recongised by Linux when I go to install it on the system? The distro's I was thinking of are: Fedora, Mandriva, Debian, Slackware, Knoppix and Mepis & Suse. Or would it be better to get a card like the BFG Tech Nvidia 6200 OC?

If you want 3D acceleration, you'll need to use ATi's proprietary 'fglrx' driver for your card (and it does appear to be supported), but the chances are this will not be out-of-the-box, you'll need to download and install the driver from ATi yourself.
