Sorry? What does it matter pre-installed or not if it can be installed afterwards?

Are you talking about installation process, perhaps? To give an example, Debian GNU/Linux Installation Guide describes how to boot installer with a serial console in 5.3. Boot Parameters and using brltty during installation in 5.2.3. Serial Braille Display.

Several of the server editions of various distros may have screen or tmux pre-installed. For example, the latest server edition of Devuan has them. So do recent versions of the Ubuntu server edition:

Code:
$ wget -q -O - http://releases.ubuntu.com/impish/ubuntu-21.10-live-server-amd64.manifest | grep -wE 'screen|tmux'
screen  4.8.0-6
tmux    3.1c-1build1

$ wget -q -O - http://releases.ubuntu.com/21.04/ubuntu-21.04-live-server-amd64.manifest | grep -E -w 'screen|tmux'
screen	4.8.0-5build2
tmux	3.1c-1
There are more if you look.

But even if the packages were not there, they can be installed in a few seconds.

Hi.

I think they all do?

A netinst without an internet connection, will install a CLI. Then add a web connection to install* GUIs*, maybe start with e.g: Virtualbox and DuckDuckGo?

Have you gone trough:

https://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/rules.html &c...

have fun.

Frequently I want to run screen command to connect serial console so I do it with live USB on my pc, I use POP OS but it doesn't have screen command in live USB itself so I have to install from internet. To avoid that I like to use a distro with screen command package should already present in live USB.

Add: you will want to follow up with google in many ways like:
adding a package to a live thumb drive
or:
screen preinstalled

distrowatch does provide a full package list for distributions but I don't know if you can search specifically for packages or programs.

knoppix includes many tools by default including screen.

Slackware’s standard install has minicom. At least, I’m pretty sure it does.
