want linux for an old old old pc

Here is the old beast as follows:

Intel Pentium 90MHZ
16MB EDO RAM
~850MB HDD
4x CD-ROM(no option to boot from BIOS, but I can move the hard drive to another pc that can.)
S3 Trio64V+ w/ 1MB RAM in PCI
Creative Soundblaster 16-bit/22khz in ISA

Now becuase I have an old old pc, I assume an old old distro with no no gui. Have any recommendations?

wow OLD OLD. i dont think any recent linux versions will work well with that. It might make sense to use an older version of a compact distro. See if you can find an old version of vector linux or slackware. Both of those work well on older computers and if you find an older version it should work. Try searching their sites for archives

If possible, consider locating more RAM for the computer. That may give you more breathing room.

Parents got rid of it, said that it was clutter and took up too much space. Oh well, I managed to run Floppix and BasicLinux on it while I had it.
