Any distro try this distro chooser

http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/

Here are my recomendations

Kubuntu

Mandriva

PCLinuxOS 2007
http://www.pclinuxos.com/index.php?o...iles&Itemid=28

This is the distro I use and recommend, Why because it works right out of the box. No need to configure Everything, everything just works. It also comes as a 1 CD install that is a live CD that you can install later if you wish.

Mephis

Blag

Do you ever post anything besides distro lists?

Anyway, I recommend Slackware.

If you search a bit you'll find plenty of "which distro" questions and more or less the same answer: it depends on what you need to do and your personal taste. Give a look to distrowarch.org site, choose the distro you think fits to you and try it.
