AlsaMixer v1.0.6 (Press Escape to quit)
Card: Intel 82801DB-ICH4
Chip: C-Media Electronics id 83
Item: PCM
i am not able listen any sound when increases or decreases the PCM.
when i open the xmms, i able to listen the song. but when i am going to adjust volume of xmms it wont effect the sound. wethere it increases
or decreases the sound it always constant.
the problem came after changing mother board, before it works fine for
old mother board, due to some problem i changed mother board
( ASRock Mother Board), now i am not able set volume control,
Master or pcm.
any software upgradation is necessary?
Hi! Have you tried using alsamixer? or alsamixergui as root? You cand adjust volume levels there. Also, using XMMS, there's a way to let it control the sound by software, go to options/preferences/ e/s and in the alsa output plugin choose "use software volume control".
Hope it helps,
Mariano
