PCLinuxOS - X Fails to start after First System update
Howdy All,
So I installed the latest PCLinuxOS KDE version on my system the other day and it was working swimmingly until I ran the first system update and rebooted. Now when they system comes online I get no graphical interface. I use an nVidia graphics card and I see the driver screen flash and then I see a cursor for a moment and shortly afterwards I get kicked to a tty login (and pressing ctrl+alt+f7/8/9/10 confirms X is not running).
Any ideas what went wrong and how I can get a GUI for the system again?
I know this sounds stupid, but did you try logging in and typing "startx" (no quotes)?
Also could you post your Xorg.x.log so that we can see what errors you're getting.

I managed to hose Gnome after doing this same thing, but I can't say I've figured it out yet...
