Mandrake 9.1 Updates

I use Mandrake 9.1 very successfully and I noticed in our local online Linux store a disk containing "Mandrake 9.1 GPL Updates" so i ordered it.

It has since arrived and it has three directories on it (RPMS, SRPMS, base) which are full of rpm files.

Being a newcomer to Linux I'm not too sure what should be done here. How do I know what to update, or do I update 'everything' and how much damage am I likely to do if I do this?

you can do a complete update or you can select the individual packages. it is upto you and dont worry about ruining something, when you are learning you have to break to learn how to rebuild

Thankyou manthram... I guess I'll scroll through the packages to see what I have. There is no option to 'update' the lot (like Windows... click Install and away you go).

Trouble is my system is running so well at the moment 'it ain't broke' so maybe I shouldn't fix it!
