kword problem in redhat 7.2

I have just installed redhat 7.2.
It is a great system. It seems that it is much faster and installation was smooth.
I liked ext3 file system most.
However, kword does not produce a correct postscript output.
The interval between letters are so small, hence all letters are mingled.
I found the same problem in Mandrake 8.2.
It is not suprising that Mandrake has the same probjem.

Any solution or workaround for this problem?

can you not just install an older version of kword?

Not the most constructive answer i have heard in a long time.

Ummm, just as a guess, this might have something to do with Truetype fonts or lack of rather.

basically what you'll need to do is copy or link to you windows font directory (c:\Windows\Fonts) from within linux, then tell xfs where to find the fonts. Im not sure if redhat had any automated font setups like some of the other distros i have used but here are a few links to help get you on the right track (or maybe im sending you down the garden path and TTF's have nothing to do with it).
