Help Me! I'm at my whits end....

I have spent all weekend downloading and trying different distros and I can't find one that suits my needs. Can anyone help? I would like the following features?

1. KDE Desktop (full, not like Fedora's crippled one)
2. Good USB detection support
3. Probally RPM based
4. Not Expensive (student = can't afford much)
5. Resonablly up to date (KDE 3.3, Kernel 2.6, OpenOffice)
6. Resonablly main stream

I have a server running CentOS 4 so the natural choice would seem to be Fedora Core 3 but there are USB detection problems (won't hotplug) and the KDE is rubbish but I downloaded the full version from http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net which seemed to be better. Should I stick with Fedora Core or try something else?

Thanks

Seb

SuSE 9.2 meets all those requirements as would Mandrake and possibly others.
