Hi all
am looking for a distribution which is easy to set up for duial booting
with XP
on seperate drives
have tried Ubuntu - hwoever it seems to dislike my20 gig seagate HD -
have posted and sought solutions on ubuntu forums website but have
been unable to sort it out - even tried reinstalling.
So i was wondering if there someone could recommend another Linux
distributon that which is is easy to set up for dual booting with XP
Distribution: OpenSUSE 10.3 , 11.2 , Solaris 10, Ubuntu 9.10

Use SUSE 10.1 , which is free to download from site opensuse.org
It will automatically mount ur old WinXP partitions and show them as a link , Also make the GRUB (boot loader) properly configured.
I think it might be a good idea switch distros for a reason like this. It seems like it would make more sense to figure out what's wrong with your ubuntu setup. I don't see any other distro being significantly different.
If this is your ubuntu thread, I posted a guess at a solution over there, since it seems more relevant information to the problem. Let me know if it's some other issue and I can try to take a look.
