checking out knoppix from livecd

just downloaded basic knoppix iso. can anyone tell me alittle about its main uses? It appears to be mostly for programming or creating applications. I also see alot of server type applications and a couple of things that really interest me! Are those real forensic applications?!

final question is: Does anyone know where I can go online to learn about linux command line language and how to create programs and applications useing all this software that the linux family offers?

You are probably referring to bash shell scripting:
Google for bash shell script and linux programming. The results will be endless.
