cannot emerge kde

hi,

I just installed Gentoo, and Am trying to emerge kde, because I have a slow internet connection, thats I'm using the GRP packages,

however after installing a couple of dependencies it tries to connect for a dependency called
libtunepimp

I downloaded libtunepimp and put in distfiles, it 'make's it however gives this error at the end:
Quote:
grep: //usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.5/libstdc++.la: No such file or directory
/bin/sed: can't read //usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.5/libstdc++.la: No such file or directory
libtool: link: `//usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.5/libstdc++.la' is not a valid libtool archive
make[3]: *** [libtunepimp.la] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/tunepimp-0.3.0/work/libtunepimp-0.3.0/lib'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/tunepimp-0.3.0/work/libtunepimp-0.3.0/lib'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/tunepimp-0.3.0/work/libtunepimp-0.3.0'
make: *** [all] Error 2
becuase of this my kde emerging is stalled, any hints?? I can't find a tbz2 for this library

Did you use emerge to download and install libtunetimp? This should work better than downloading a source and then manually compiling it.

In Gentoo, don't do the usual
Code:
./configure
make
make install
after manually downloading the source tarballs.

Instead use emerge to do it in a single step.

Yes, I fixed the problem however
emerge libtunepimp didnt work, so I was manually installing it

however instead of libtunepimp to portage the package is known as 'tunepimp'
emergeing this worked
