Kubuntu does have some problems regarding stability, I've heard, but it's still a pretty great distribution for beginners. PCLinuxOS would also be a good choice, or openSUSE, or Fedora, or Mandriva; saying which one is the "best" depends really on what you want to do with it.
I'm happy with my curent distro. I have tryed Kubuntu, openSUSE, Mandriva, PCLinuxOS and just curoius is there more great KDE disroes that i dont know and like to test them
Kubuntu has made KDE worse, they are trying to change it to Gnome. I dont like it.
