Question Basic Linux Question.

I tried to setup basic Linux. However, have trouble is settingup the second floppy. Has anyone tried this recently ? Does it work ?

does /dev/fd1 not work? check the bios

I used /dev/fd0, it is OK, I had no problems with other floppy distros.

fd0 should be the first floppy
fd1 the second

This is true. I have just one floppy drive. Here is what I did,
I did #cp DISK2.TGZ /dev/fd0 The instructions said direct copy is OK.

By the way The Ultimate Boot Disk also has a copy of Basic Linux on it. This also hangs as well upon strt, wonder why ?

I am just typing this message using BASIC LINUX !!!! It is truly a great distro with outstanding support. DOS format second floppy before copying image. That is all.
