Unhappy The Linspire Internet Suite splash screen stays up and I never do get to the internet

I try to use Linspire's Internet Suite for internet and email. When I click on either icon the splash screen comes up and never goes away. I have to do a "quick start" too get rid of the splash screen and I never get connected tothe internet or my email. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Suite but that didn't help.
Finally I have had to install another browser (Foxfire) so I can get to the internet to post this. The last time this happened I reinstalled the OS. I am running Linspire v.5.0.59.

Any and all help is appreciated. I am a newbie to Linux so details are needed if giving directions. Thank you.

Aw come on people. Someone must have some idea as to what I can check/do!!!
