I can test to a UDP port from Linux to a Linux server using nc, but I'd like to do the same test from Windows where there is no nc. Does anyone know how to do this?
Ncat is integrated with Nmap and is available in the standard Nmap download packages (including source code and Linux, Windows, and Mac binaries) available from the Nmap download page. You can also find it in our SVN source code repository.
Thanks for that link. I've downloaded and installed nmap-7.94-setup.exe from your link. Yes, that worked! from the command line I ran 'ncat -u 192.168.1.60 123', then typed some text which appeared on the listening end.
