Question setfacl problem

i have a directory /home/manager. The directory owner is user root and group root. User tom should have read and write access to this directory. Susan should not have any access to this directory. The directory should be readable by all other users.

can any one tell me how can i perform this action?

Sounds a bit like homework ... have you read the setfacl man page? .. chmod man page? .. what have you tried already?

@kbp

I have tried

chmod 755 /home/manager
setfacl -m d:u:natasha:rwx /home/manager
setfacl -m d:u:susan:--- /home/manager

here natasha able to modify existing file but not able to create and delete. Susan able to read and view folder and it contains but not data in files.

chmod 755 /home/manager
setfacl -m u:natasha:rwx /home/manager
setfacl -m u:susan:--- /home/manager

here natasha able to create and delete files also but not able to modify already existing files created by user users. However it works fine for susan.

You may need the '-R' option to modify existing files within the directory
