On some more discoveries, there is a general opinion that WebDav is suitable for use as locally-mounted shares; something which I am wanting to avoid.
Also, supposedly, SFTP is different from FTPS.
Now, I like the functionality provided by FTP - easy to read/write; easy to deny-write from server side (by commenting out "write_enable=YES"). The only thing remaining is secure transfer - something that FTPS should take care of.
So, I guess FTPS would be the best thing (given the requirements); I managed to get hold of link
http://fedora.wikia.com/wiki/FTP_Server_%28VSFTPD%29, BUT IT GOT INTERRUPTED MID-WAY
Could someone please help me in setting up a FTPS server and a FTPS client??
Thanks and Regards,
Ajay
