Hi

I am building a Linux server (ubuntu) on a VMWARE machine and the way the site is configured there is no direct terminal access to the machine. I therefor have two options

1. Use Krdc and Krfb to do a remote desktop sharing.
2. Use XDMCP to get the KDE login screen and start a separate remote desktop.

I am choosing option 2 and have found many good sites that detail how to set up XDMCP. The only problem is that they all assume one will be connecting to the Linux machine using Windows and cygwin.

I would like to connect from a Linux machine (Kubuntu on laptop -> Kubuntu on Server) and need someones to help me understand what I need to do on the laptop to start up the connection with XDMCP.

X -query my.XDMCP.server. Tested it and it works.
