QEMU GPU passthrough (2 - NVidia card)
Hello all,
I'm not great at starting threads so I'm just going to get right to the point here, I do apologize if this has been asked before...
I have a rig with 2 Geforce 1080Ti and want to pass-through one of my Geforce cards to a VM and use the other with Linux using the proprietary NVidia drivers to drive Xorg/Wayland +games. Does anyone know if this can be done? I've found plenty of information about GPU pass-through setups, but as of yet nothing like this. I've done PCIe pass-through many times before, but every time was using different video cards. I'm rather sick of Microsoft and where Linux will run most games, support for the Oculus Rift is nonexistent and wont run under Wine. The solution here is a Windows 10 VM, but given my configuration I dont want to nuke a Windows 10 install only to find a road block in my setup. If I can accomplish this I will have no Windows machines left on my home network (about 16 machines) and feel better about who and what I'm supporting. Thanks in advanced for any help offered.
