"My computer" on Kubuntu

Ok, probably an easy answer to this, but for some reason I just can't figure it out. I use Kubuntu (14.10).

What I'm trying to replicate is the "My Computer" display/funcationality that you have on Windows. I can get to any file syste, w/ Dolphin with no issues, but for some reason I really like that old "My Computer" layout, where it opens w/ a display of the mounted file systems, the network mounts, etc.

What's the easiest way to replicate this in KDE?

I've just looked to discover what the My Computer display does (I've never had Windows} and I'd say you're not going to get a replica for Linux because you don't need one.

Windows users need to know what devices are there because they need to refer to them — all that c: d: e: stuff — a pain in the colon, if you ask me. All Linux users need is the filing system, and Dolphin shows it. If you don't like the mount points chosen for devices, then you can fix them by editing /etc/fstab, but that's a bit geeky!

I think there ought to be an option for a "tree view" pane on the left-hand side if that's what you want. Otherwise, see above?

If you turn on the sidebar (F9) in Dolphin or Konqueror, you will see your filesystems (including mounted and unmounted USB devices) displayed. You can also tailor the sidebar by adding items of your own choice to it.
