it's the proverbial question that no one is providing a direct answer to it - accessing win 7 from linux

so, i'm on mx 18 using the mate desktop environment
i have a win 7 operating system on a samsung evo 970 ssd

in 'places', everything is showing up but the win 7 drive

i can go to my thumb drive, external wd usb hdd, even the free space on the ssd, but not the win 7 partition

it'd be nice to be able to go there from here

because when i'm there and try to do what i want to do, the 'access denied' hard hammer makes it difficult

i love my o'reillys & associates 'running linux', and i could go look it up, but i should also be able to find the answer here. i looked, and it wasn't; just a whole bunch of episodic comments
