Using the wsl-distrod program mentioned previously, I have installed Arch Linux with systemd enabled, "last" is working.

Even poweroff, reboot, halt, and shutdown, work when run as root (they log out and close the terminal).

Also I installed Firefox in Arch Linux, and its Windows 11 integration works.
