Gnumeric COUNTIFS?

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knew a workaround for the apparent lack of a COUNTIFS function in Gnumeric. I am trying to write an algorithm that counts all rows in which certain values exist in two of the columns, which based on my research would be done using the COUNTIFS function, because it permits the conditional AND to look at multiple values before returning a TRUE. When I write the function using COUNTIFS, however, I get a #NAME! error.

I'm guessing that Gnumeric doesn't have COUNTIFS..? If it doesn't, does anyone know of a way that I can still get the multiple comparison row count?

Thanks in advance!

Create a separate column with a suitable IF/AND then count that column? (If having an extra column disrupts the layout, put it on a different sheet, and use SHEET!CELL notation.)

Except you probably don't have to do that, because the Gnumeric manual claims COUNTIFS exists...
