Angry Fedora 15 Gnome 3 Activities menu

I just installed Fedora 15 on a laptop with less than 1GB ram. I don't see the Activities menu, only Application and Places. What should i do to add this applet (desklet ?) to the desktop ?

Go for add software and search for gnome-shell this will give you a result with some gnome shell extensions and also the newly addes tweak application. Atleast if you have activated rpm fusion (if you havent google fedora fusion, activate it and then check fedora unoffical faq). I have also seen that some applications like spotify and vmware will be placed on a hidden menu in the righr bottom while running.

Gnome 3

If you have the places item then your are running in Gnome2 compatibility mode (in one case of mine it was because I do not have Hardware acceleration in the video system.).
