Displaylink USB monitor

Someone bought me an Asus USB portable monitor for Christmas. Really cool little thing to have and it works great on Windows and OSX, but I can't seem to get it working on any version of Linux so far. Currently I'm running the latest Linux Mint. It see's it, but it doesn't turn on:
[ 2159.935997] usb 2-2: new SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
[ 2159.957157] usb 2-2: New USB device found, idVendor=17e9, idProduct=ff03
[ 2159.957163] usb 2-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 2159.957168] usb 2-2: Product: MB168B
[ 2159.957172] usb 2-2: Manufacturer: DisplayLink
[ 2159.957176] usb 2-2: SerialNumber: H9LMTF007274

Does anyone have any experience with getting one of these working on Linux? It's bad enough I have to boot up windows to play games, I'd hate to think I have to use it if I want to use this monitor as well.

Thanks in advance.
Aric
