Connect mobile lg as router 3g

Hi all, is that my father has an LG-E440 mobile and the only way to connect to internet is sharing 3g mobile with pc cable has multiple OSs, windows xp, windows 7, linux mint and xubuntu in windows works perfectly but in linux (both distros) no. In mobile, in support of sharing 3G puts that supports both windows and linux natively. A curious fact is that if the cable connects mobile multimedia mode recognizes perfectly and can even access the so things are not drivers.

Greetings and thanks in advance.
