Why Brightness of screen is not changing?


I installed Linux Deepin 2014 in my HP Probook 4540s. Brightness of screen is not changing, it so bright so uses more power. Also my laptop got heating problem. How can i solve this problem??

You might want to start by telling us more about your video hardware

sbin/lspci -nnk |grep VGA -A3
This might be the solution to your problem too

Please upgrade to Deepin2014.1. We have fixed this problem in 2014.1.

I got another problem after upgrading it says:

WARN: uid is 0 but '/' is owned by 1001

how to solve this reply quickly!!

Brightness Problem in hp probook 4540s

I just installed 2014.1 but problem is still on.Brightness is not changing.Its not decreasing.What will be the solution?

You never supplied your graphics hardware details as requested. Did you also check out the thread I linked to?

That doesn't tell us much. You run the command (previously given) and supply the output. It may help others provide an answer without having to guess the details.

Sorry, the Brightness problem still exists in parts of computers. We are checking and testing, please wait for a short time.

How to use deepin as super user.
What is the coomand.
I just entered the login password for super user but it said authentication failure.
