While enjoying the English version of Linux Deepin I wish to remove specific chinese apps like Kingsoft . I tried with sudo apt-get remove kingsoft ....but no success.

Linux Deepin is an Ubuntu (hence Debian) derivative ,so file management is through apt-get NOT rpm .

So it is not a ¨rpm -e thingy¨

Can you copy & paste the actual error messages of "sudo apt-get remove kingsoft" instead of just saying "no success"?

I have done sudo apt-get remove kingsoft resulting in no response ,but will try that again.
Also I should have tried to remove kingsoft in synaptic .....shall do that first.
Tnx for your response

By the way , I like Linux Deepin , it seems a good distro for newcomers to Linux ....and as for Ubuntu upgrades are frequently available

Removing Kingsoft

By using synaptic I managed to remove kingsoft .
In synaptic kingsoft was shown as kingsoft-office .
With that info I now understand why the package ¨kingsoft¨ was not recognised when doing sudo apt-get remove kingsoft .
It should have been sudo apt-get remove kingsoft-office.

Problem solved
