Problem with Display coding in Deepin
Hi, Despite being a realtively newbie, I decided to plumb the depths of terminal and coding.I am trying to blank the monitor on my HP Notebook (ePD) whilst having my external display ( HDMI-0 ) operative.
I found and adapted some code which should enable me to do this and ended up with the following:
laudate_dominum@HPNotebook-PC:~$ xrandr | grep $HDMI-0 | grep " connected "
Usage: grep [OPTION]... PATTERN [FILE]...
Try 'grep --help' for more information.
laudate_dominum@HPNotebook-PC:~$ if [ $? -eq 0 ];
> then
> xrandr --output $eDP --auto --output $eDP --auto $HDMI-0
> # (sleep 2; xrandr --output $eDP --auto --output $HDMI-0 --auto $eDP) &
> else
> xrandr --output $eDP --auto --output $HDMI-0 --off
> fi
warning: output --auto not found; ignoring
warning: output -0 not found; ignoring
laudate_dominum@HPNotebook-PC:~$
Can anyone help please.
Thank you
