so as we all know, deepin released a new version. as some fewer ppl might know, it comes with its own browser. so due to the multiple facts that its pretty fast and SHOULD be able to install extensions, I decided to keep it as my main browser. but theres a big but (without 2. t): u cant. altho its obviousely based on chromium and chrome web store sees it as chrome too, when attempting to install an adblocker extension, the file downloads (which shouldnt be shown with chrome extensions) and in the downloads section, it says the download has been interrupted. meaning: no extension being installed. does anyone know how I can fix this issue? thx
Welcome to LQ.
First of all, you might want to use the enter key more often to structure your text, and lay off the textspeak ("u" instead of "you", "altho" instead of "although" etc.).
The Deepin Browser seems to be a very recent addition, possibly it's not quite stable yet.
But what you describe sounds like it's entirely up to the chrome store whether it allows installations to non-Chrome browsers or not.
Have you tried downloading the file some other way and installing it manually?
On a more general note I remain wary of Deepin, being rooted in a country that actively disrespects human rights (and people's privacy). This could mean that they don't want you to install privacy-enhancing extensions.

Not sure if it has been solved or anything,
but what worked for me is using this website
Basically you paste the extension's chrome-store url,
You then insert the downloaded crx file into the website's box
get the zip, extract it, put it somewhere you won't accidentally delete it
then go to the Browser's settings -> More Tools -> Extensions
press load unpacked, select your extracted folder
that is it!

I had the same problem but when I enabled "Developer mode" on the Extensions Tab I was able to install the MS Office and Adblock Plus extension.
