Dear all:
I am one of them. My reason for migrating is to secure the system by myself rather than depending on patches and service packs, running for daily virus updates, pay separately for each license and still think that some back door shall let my server down. I also do not like to restart my servers again and again. I want to customize the OS as much as i can. If any thing i would ever like to use from Windows will be only Active Directory.

People in Open Source community are contributing too much and hence upto my opinion they are now more successful than past since now Linux has become quite smart and flexible. It runs on different Hardware, Easy to install and manage.
One more big advantage is that solution to any problem can be retrieved from internet in minutes. The prominent example is "linuxquestions.org" itself and number of uncountable web sites. OS/ Patches are totally free whereas they are not free with Microsoft.
I am not against Microsoft, but as an Administartor (Technical), I shall prefer to deploy a solution that is most secure/ reliable/ easy to configure and less panic creating.
