As far as I remember the cost for RHCE Exam in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India is between Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 16,000. The last I heard, it was Rs. 11500

The price varies by country. In the US, it is $749. In Europe, it's 750 euros, about 30% more expensive.

To find it in the country where you intend to take it, navigate to the Red Hat website for your region, and then search for RH302. You should be able to find the price there.

For that amount, I will assume it's a lifetime cert and does not expire.

You would assume incorrectly. However, the re-testing costs are considerably less.

I think.
