Rundown of Linux certs

Okay, I just posted that I am going for a Linux+ certification. That's fine and all, but I see there's a ton of others which [probably because im currently unemployed] didn't know about.

Is there a list of popular Linux certifications? The ones I now know about are...

CompTIA Linux+ - Seems to be for Linux beginners. Six months+ experience with Linux.

Linux Professional SomethingICantRemember - It looks like this one is a little more rigerous than Linux+

RED HAT CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN (RHCT) -Lowest level RH cert ?

RED HAT CERTIFIED ENGINEER (RHCE) - Middle level RH cert?

Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) - Highest, senior level cert?

I'd be down with getting a RH cert after the Linux+. Does anyone know which RH cert for someone who has used RH/Fedora/Mandrake for their entire personal Linux life [5 years] would be best?

THe Something I can't remember is Institute - LPI.

As far as I'm aware, those 3 are the main ones.

With the REDHAT exams, you really need to do them all in order - they work in a similar way to the modular MCP's get you a MCSE.

The question really is why are you getting them - and if its for a job, is it the kind of qualification that your potential employer recognises? RedHat seems to be for Corps where as the LPI and the CompTIA are nearer academia.

When I finally get round to doing mine, I think I will start with the Linux + and stick with CompTIA
