LPI is vendor neutral meaning that the knowledge you learn and are tested on is valid across all distros. RHCE is a Red Hat certification which will focus more on Red Hat's way of doing things. Which one is better? If you are working and will continue to work in a Red Hat House then perhaps you would be better off with RHCE. If you will work with many distros in your career then look at LPI.
But then again, do the LPI 1 and 2 then see about RHCE, more knowledge and experience of course can only benefit in the long run.
Novell also has a certification for Suse. Ubuntu might get a cert soon and Linux+ is another certification that is available.
I think Linux+ is not that good from what I have heard. SuSE is not so enterprisy as Red Hat but that might change in the future. Finally LPI might be the most neutral AND the cheapest. I think yo u should do LPI regardless.
hi Jzarecta, thks i too want to go for LPI.
But i donno where will we get information about LPI examination fee and where we have to write in INDIA?
if u get any information plz update

You can take the exam at any Prometric or VUE testing center. The cost is USD 150.
There does not seem to be any training center in India according to the site.
