I'm preparing for the LPI 202 exam using O'Reillys Linux book (can't quite remember the name).

I'm interested in what other people thought of this exam. Is it difficult? Are certain topics over-emphasized? I had a pretty hard time on exam 201. I feel like the book is mostly to blame and my lack of experience with linux in server environments (happily running it on my desktop for 10 years now )

So by posting here I hope to prevent any nasty surprises when I take the exam in a few weeks

Even though I knew what to expect from the Objectives, I was surprised to see the detail of the questions on the exam - while it isn't as "real world" strenuous as the RHCE exam, the depth of knowledge required is greater.

For me, the questions on the exam were out of proportion to their weights on the objectives. That could have been due to random chance. (I think the questions you get are randomly selected from a pool.) But it does seem to be somewhat reflected on the O'Reilly sample exam.

In any case, the O'Reilly book was an excellent prep tool.

I heard the same on another forum: this exam seems to rival RHCE in difficulty (that's what I'm concluded by your and someone elses comment anyway).

I really wonder how bad LPIC-3 must be...
