firstly I intend to use virtual machine to practise Suse linux, so this is enough, do I need to install it in a laptop?

My company currently uses SLES/Suse 10 and SLES/Suse 11. I wanted to take up this certification because I'm very hidcup when it came to command prompt.

If you have visit Suse.com or novell.com site they no longer offer CLP 10 courses except self study kit, https://www.novell.com/training/cour....jsp?pid=14858

I was wondering if having hands on yourself together with study kit is enough to pass the exam.

CLP10 would no longer be available via legitimate companies. You will need to do CLP11. Virtual machine(s) should be fine to practice on.
IMHO the exams concentrated too much on the trivial compared to RHCE, but maybe that was just me.
