Thumbs up Just a comment, not a question

I'm very new to Linux (1 week) tried quite a number of distros, and only wish I could of got Gentoo working correctly. It's the only distro that has the kernel that recognises my Dell laptop has 3D capabilities.

Yeah ... Gentoo is DIY meta-distribution. After installation it is your kernel that powers your box, how good it is is up to you, and up to you only.

Hi...

Out of curiosity, what graphics chip does your system have? If you would, please open a terminal and post the entire results for...

Code:
lspci -nnk | grep VGA -A 12
Just copy and paste the command into your terminal and vice versa.

Regards...
