My friend pc has a problem as it is not connecting with internet.


My friend pc has a problem as it is not connecting with internet. He is sharing the connection with his friend. Earlier it was working fine with his pc. Then he tries to learn something so that the setting gets changed. We are unable trouble shoot. Please help me. Operating system: vista
(note: my pc working very good with same connection)

What exactly do you think we'll be able to tell you? You say he changed "something", and that it's not working. You give us no details, or any way to troubleshoot the problem.

Also, this is LINUXquestions....if you're having problems with Windows Vista, you should post it on a Microsoft forum.

Can he ping the router? Did you run "ipconfig" to check the network settings?

Rerun the configuration for the device. Sometimes starting over will remove changes you made.
