More Christian destruction from the White House

First it was Obama who attempted to steel God's rainbow and gave it to the satan. Now its Biden who attempts to give the most important Christian holiday to Satan. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/202...ing-easter-be/ Anyone seeing a pattern here? Now it becomes clear why many years ago, for many, Easter was transformed into a ritual where little children learned to color eggs. Little did they know that there was a future agenda that would make use of this ritual. But God knew it from the beginning.

I have to wonder if you have had your condition evaluated by a mental health professional.

Days do not belong to a particular church or religion. Nor do colors. A single day can have multiple meaning. And, in case you have not noticed, the Christian sects or churches are losing members. Not because of days or lack of faith in the teachings, but because they have proven the churches so riddled with corruption and hypocrisy that those who believe in the teachings can no longer believe in the churches. The teachings still have value, and teach love of your fellow man.

The ones who ignorantly preach hatred are worse, because they are teaching the OPPOSITE of the teachings of the faith they profess to serve! They are the ones serving evil. And you have listened.

Give it a rest. Please post your vile rhetoric somewhere else.

I have to agree with the first repsonse. I really think you need to see a qualified psychiatrist to have your mental state evaluated.

Also – be careful how and when you allow someone else to "push your buttons." This entire comment – by a brain-dead "President" who can barely read his teleprompter – is a very obvious example of this sort of thing. The comment is utterly nonsensical on its face, and is published only to provoke "outrage."

Don't bother. You can decide for yourself when it's worth your time to "be provoked." But, this is clearly not that time.

Members could simply ignore posts.

When they suggest to a member they need a mental health check that kind of crosses the line between polite banter doesn't it.

Does anyone want to treated in a polite manner?

Starting relitious topics outside the "faith and religion megathread" is already treating people in an impolite manner.

If stuff like the top post is permitted, then the responses need to be too.

I choose to believe the OP is satire, and nothing anybody can say will change my mind.

I still want to know the story of God's Rainbow and Satan, not to mention how Obama was involved. I mean what's more fun than Ghost Stories with Demons and Bogey Men?

The OP is probably referring to the lovely story in Genesis in which God creates the rainbow to reassure mankind, when it rains, that there will never be another great flood.

Ironically its not just Christians who feel that "their" rainbow has been taken away from them by their opponents. A lot of gay people in the UK feel the same way about the modern "progress pride" flag which turns what was a lovely image into an ugly mess.

I still say that, when others try to "poke you" like that, the best thing to do is: "hold your fire."

It may be that the OP is referring to pictures of the White House bathed in rainbow colors taken after the 2015 SCOTUS ruling.

"The White House is lit with the colors of the rainbow in celebration of the Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage, June 26, 2015. (Official White House Photo by Chuck Kennedy)"
https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov...2015-photo-day

First Obama, IMO, defiles the WH and then Biden defiles one of the Holiest days in Western Christianity. I'd love to see the next Republican President declare a non-Sunday March 31st as "Take Back the Rainbow" day.

As far as I know there is no copyright or patent on a colour or the rainbow. Anyone can uase it, as far as I'm concerned and who cares?
And as for Easter it was a pagan festival stolen by christians, the date of which changes every year so has no relevance as far as an anniversary of the date Jesus was born (or was it died?).

Gee I wonder what property of water or light must've been altered so that rainbows couldn't exist even in waterfalls before "The Great Flood"? I'd suppose, if I entertain such notions, it'd have to be water since apparently the ocean of water held back by "the firmament" all disappeared as well (along with the crystal sphere of the firmament itself) leaving Mother Earth with not enough water to cover the entire planet's surface let alone up to mountain tops the world over.

Regarding government and religion, given our Constitution expressly states the importance of Separation of Church and State, our government not only need not but should not concern itself at all with religious holidays. It's none of their business. However so are any religious views on color or days of the week.

OTOH, the job of government is to set and enforce civil and criminal Law. In the eyes of the US Government, marriage can be either or both a religious event and a legal standing, just like a business partnership. Government is supposed to be only concerned with the civil legal aspect of marriage, that simply chooses to legally recognize the religious bond IF the proper marriage license have been filed and approved according to Law. Anyone denied the right to form a legal partnership suffers considerably, and has zero to do with the nature of that intimacy.

Frankly, I cannot possibly comprehend why so many are so concerned with other's intimacy of any kind including consensual physical relationships between legal adults. Why should I care if any two people never touch, only shake hands or pat each other on the back, give each other haircuts or backrubs or anything else. For some reason many religious folks are really only intensely interested in the "anything else". It has zero effect on me and is none of my business and I don't fathom how it is anyone elses. In my younger days I figured the more homosexual men there were, less competition and the greater was my selection opportunities with females. (Yes, I'm rather boringly hetero)

BTW if you enjoy some fascinating humour, look up absurd old state laws still on the books for a great laugh session. Example: A law was passed in San Francisco in 1942 making it illegal to take an elephant for a walk on Market Street without a leash.
