And the forum links all work and the last post was 7 hours ago. I'd say it works, but is slow moving.

What are you experiencing when visiting http://forum.freespire.org (as previously posted site is functioning normally)?

Looks to me that all the forums there are locked for posting.

I registered there last Thur. or Fri. and it said I could not post until I received the activation email. Well I never got it so I thought it might be my ISP's fault so about an hour latter I registered again with a diff name and this time with a gmail address and still nothing.

thanks

Have you checked your spam folder? Occasionally gmail mislabels activation emails.

Very odd, all I can suggest then is that either you made a typo when setting up your account (possible...) or that the Freespire server had a brain fart (a mail fart?) and didn't send you the mail. I would suggest using http://forum.freespire.org/sendmessage.php to contact the admins.

I regst twice, contacted admin once near after I regst...oh well i'll try what u say latter,

I just got the freespire cd, ran the live part of it, it is real cool, blows windows away. Gonna put in a empty hard drive and install it now, can't get to a file system on the live cd to work on my hardware settings...maybe the os will see more after an install, + I have to install xp back on my laptop so I can get on the net to pick-up the freespire manual.

I think I'm giddy.

thanks XAVIERP

It looks as though the automated system is having issues or that the manual system has gone out for a beer! Give it a few days to see if anything happens - though it should be almost instant.

No worries. I wonder if it may be a similar issue to the one at the DSL forums (see our DSL sub forum for details).
