I think, to clarify, it ought to be mentioned that "trump" has been another word for "fart" for a good many years here (no idea whether the US ever used it as such?).

I'm not completely sure why we even discuss about Trump in a forum filled with intelligent and decent people.. It just seems like mocking a new-born because he can't walk..

@cousinlucky: Let some years to pass.. You'll see how stupid your statement about hypocrisy is.. There are no black and white, right and wrong, "equal treatment" or "unequal treatment"... Those are just goals.. The thing is, what goal you want to reach is important (no one will ever reach this impossible goals.. Hitler didn't reach "unequal treatment" and France didn't reach "equal treatment" -- USA has been build on top of racism, slavery and stolen land and ideas with a touch of "equal treatment" so... it doesn't even count). It's even more important if you're the damn president of one of the most militiarized countries in the world.. But I think you're right at the very end.. a Trump-like president might actually be inevitable.

If Donald Trump wins the Presidency in 2016, it will be because he was different from the other campaigners. Most campaigners speeches are usually the same paradigm we heard before with slight variations and it gets boring to some extend.

Donald Trump is the bad guy you love to hate and he knows how to push those buttons. And those people who are with Trump see a person who will be real tough on terrorism and not lenient as previous administrations.

I wish him luck. NOT!!!

I personally don't think that Donald Trump would be as successful in the Office as I think he thinks he would be.

The CEO of a corporation has considerable power, especially if is also Chairman of the Board. But the President of the United States has very little. (Even George Washington found that he had great difficulty in the role.) As CINC his military authority is undeniable, but his civil duties must be accomplished almost entirely by means of persuasion and compromise. (He is allowed to issue Executive Orders, but not laws.) He can either sign the eight-hundred page law that lands on his desk, in its entirety, or he can veto it, again in its entirety. And so on.

I just don't think that "The Donald" would thrive under such conditions. I think that he would chafe under them. But, I do think that he is serious, and very patriotic. I think he'd find a way to do the job, but I'm not sure he'd be happy.

Quite frankly, I don't see any candidate in the field right now whom I would consider to be an effective, let alone innovative, occupant of this most-difficult Office.

Oh! And George Osborne rejects calls for Donald Trump to be banned from the UK. For those who don't know the name, Osborne is the current Chancellor of the Exchequer in the UK.

In some quarters it is rumored that " media honchos " are making sure that Donald Trump gets plenty of coverage from them; so as to " grease the skids " for Hillary Clinton's eventual election to the Presidency of the United States!!

Sleazy.

Build a wall. Ban Mexicans and Muslims. But illegal immigrant (oh yeah, white folks) are OK to
work for a presidential candidate who is a black pot calling all all other kettles to task for being a illegal color and religion (by his personal standards, like Stalin maybe). But at least. Stalin was a former soldier. Donald never served a day in his spoon fed life.

I only have a GED but I seem to see clearer than some others in this country of mine. What is funny. I live in a former slave state, populated by gun owners and red necks, and have a more liberal outlook than some yankees (Iowa).

I don't care what others think about the above video. But I recognize funny when I see it.

Have you ever noticed? Bernie Sanders looks like he is related to the POPE from South America

Yup, and that's what scares me. What's wrong with rounding up and deporting people of a set ethnic group ? Well, that's what the Nazis did. So, I wouldn't be surprised if the new chant is not "Heil Trump".

What is not being reported in the media is the violence occurring before, during, and after every Donald Trump rally!! A President Trump would undoubtedly unleash unlimited bloodshed, rioting, mayhem, and destruction!!

Trump won't be elected he's a sideshow, someone that can get the juices flowing. The problem is outside of Sanders there just isn't any candidate that I can point to and say yup that's the person. I'd really like some more people to jump in on both sides this election is too important to pick the lesser of the evils.

Come back when you have an actual free country then other countries may take you seriously. The UK's almost as bad but at least we have three ways to choose the same cartel.

Trumps Weimar America by Roger Cohen - new york times

NEW YORK Welcome to Weimar America: Its getting restive in the beer halls. People are sick of politics as usual. They want blunt talk. They want answers.

Welcome to an angry nation stung by two lost wars, its politics veering to the extremes, its mood vengeful, beset by decades of stagnant real wages for most people, tempted by a strongman who would keep all Muslims out and vows to restore American greatness.

Were going to be so tough and so mean and so nasty, Donald Trump says in response to the San Bernardino massacre. People roar. He calls for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States. People roar. People want strength, he says. People roar. His poll numbers go up. Pundits, even the longtime guru of Republican political branding, Karl Rove, shake their heads.

Trump is a clown. No, he is not. He is in earnest. And hes onto something. It is foolish not to take him seriously.

The " Trump voters " can not wait to get to the voting booth and vote for " their ( politically uncorrect ) champion " who will make " America Great Again "!! For every person that thinks that Donald Trump is too ignorant to be president; there are 2 people who do not want anyone else!! Trump is selling an image, an illusion that many simpletons are begging for!! Trumpland is coming in a year- are you getting prepared for it?? -Cousin Lucky

I just checked Stallman's homepage. Sanders is Stallman's preferred candidate too.
