Not much of a question, but more of a general wondering. So, do you have any Microsoft products? If you do, which products do you have and what is your overall experience with them? It can be either hardware, software or both.
You don't have to list everything either. If I would list all my games it could take a while
Let's leave their Operating Systems outside this thread, or else it may turn into a Linux or Windows sucks/VS type of thread and we have already a lot of those going on.
What I have (or that I can remember that I have):
- Natural Multimedia Keyboard;
- Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000;
- SideWinder Forcefeed back Pro;
- SideWinder Racing Wheel;
- Internet Keyboard;
- Xbox;
- Intellimouse Optical;
Overall experience: Even though I'm not a big fan of their OS(but still think it's good, overall), I found their hardware and games pretty damn good. I can't live without my ergo-keyboards . If I was not so low in cash right now I'd like to try out their Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000. Looks pretty damn good, according to the reviews around the net .
If you would ask me, I really think MS should consider sticking with Hardware only or take a step in the right direction as Apple did and make their new gen OS more "unix-like", but I will be long gone before that day comes I guess
EDIT: Feel free to post Windows if you have and your overall experience. Just don't turn the thread in a VS type of thread, please . Thank you!

Windows XP Professional.
Microsoft mouse.
Microsoft keyboard.
Windows XP itself is great (the company that makes it and the policies it comes with are another story), it just doesn't beat Linux. Microsoft makes great hardware. All other mice and keyboards I've tried fail miserabely when compared to theirs.
Thanks for the first reply peter_89. I asked to leave out their OS, but you put in a good way that it should be unfair to not post Windows as well, so I guess if you have Windows you can put it here as well. But please, put in a wise form as peter_89 did. Not in "Linux is not ready for bla bla bla..."
I agree with you peter_89. I think that after MS keyboards and mice, I would go with Logitech. Still, at least for the few things I've tried, MS is superior and very competitive price-wise. At least where I leave
Microsoft products. Windows 98, Me, 2000 Pro, IE, Halo.
2000, and Halo are pretty good. Halo is fun, and 2000 is fast, light, and stable.
I wish IE was not bogged down with so many attacks. I would like it more (Not the XP version though, ugh...).
I think that about does it. I don't too much like that X-Box. Too big, and bulky, the Controller does not feel right (same as the Sega Dreamcast's).
I've used a Sidwinder Force Feedback 2 Pro USB joystick. It was actually pretty good, but I will stick with my "CH FlightStick". I just can't get used to the throttle on the Sidewinder, and most sticks. Who adjusts the throttle 'Around' the stick???

I have:
MS optical mouse
MS joystick
xbox with a bunch of MS games
Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000, and XP
Office 97, 2000, XP
A couple MS PC games
Visual Studio (forgot which versions)
Got most of the software from school. They charged like $100 a semester for an MS software bundle with Windows, Office, and Visual Studio if you picked it up or not so of course I got it.
No ms products here other than xp. Have you tried that SideWinder wheel on anything in linux? Thinking Racer or something in wine?
Sorry if this is OT. I'm looking for a wheel.
Edit/Nevermind, this product seems to be discontinued.

nope, no ms products here, i could list why, but instead ill just say i dont need their products (and in the case of games, couldent play them even if i wanted them).
On the whole, I've been rather pleased with the products overall (the less said about Me the better). It's just that I have more fun with Linux and it's nice not having to worry about virii and such. I'm with pixellany - no more buying MS products.
I use an IntelliMouse Explorer at work. I can even get the side buttons (but not the tilt-wheel) working with the Linux install on my workstation. It's the nicest mouse I've ever used, nicer than my old Kensington, but I haven't tried any of the more advanced Logitech ones.
The keyboard and mouse are great, cheap, comfortable to use and dead reliable. Autoroute is a great piece of software, I don't actually use it that much but when I do it really saves time and frustration. And, seeing as I already had a laptop buying a usb gps sensor and autoroute was a fraction of the cost of something like a tomtom
-Windows 98, 2000, XP, and Server 2003.
-Visual Studio 2003, 2005.
-Optical Mice
-XBox
-Office XP and 2003(is that what it's called? I can't remember...)
Now, I don't use any of that stuff, but I do have it (besides the XBox, it gets played sometimes). I don't have a problem with any of the stuff--especially XP and Server 2003 which I really liked, I just prefer linux (not just linux, BSD too). My experiences with all that software has been great. The only _problem_ I ever had was when I'd plug a usb TV adapter into my PC, and it would restart. I really like Visual Studio too, aswell as Office. So all in all, its good stuff, I just don't prefer it.
