USB Keyboard Failing at USB Filesystem Mount Time

I've had reaccuring trouble with my USB keyboard not responding. I've pinpointed it to when the USB Filesystem is being mounted that it fails. It only does it off and on and seems that it completely fail under the Fedora-standard 2.6.7-x Kernel. It also seems that when I try to boot in run level 3 (to install my video drivers) it completely fails, but when I boot in run level 5 then go to run level 3 it works fine. There's also seems to be some bad mojo between the NIC and the keyboard as well in that making changes to the NIC cause it to fail.

I've consulted my manufacturer about it and have had motherboard replaced (for unrelated reasons) and the keyboard replaced for this reason and that's as far as they're willing to go. I think it may be FC2 related since I never had the problem under Mandrake 10.
