unable to install macromedia flash player

I just upgraded to Fedora Core 4 from Redhat 8 and like it so far. However, I cannot get macromedia flash 7 player to install. I downloaded the tar file and uncompressed it to manually install. When I run the installer, I get to the point where it asks for the path of my web browser, yet it does not accept anything I enter. I verified the path, /usr/lib/mozilla, checked my typing and tried /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, no help. I am using Firefox as my browser. Any Help?

The firefox directory is /usr/lib/firefox-1.0.6 (or whatever version you're using).

Or you could have copied the libflashplayer.so file from the archive to ~/.mozilla/plugins/

Don't install it manually. Get the official RPM package:
