hi all,
I have suddenly got this problem - when I run neat / system-config-network or the System->Administration->Network option then there is a exception coming up.
The error dump is as under:-

'neat' is a Python script. Among other things it loads /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gnome/ui.so which requires /lib/libasound.so. If 'neat' ran OK before there must have been a point you can track back (logs) what happened. Could be a package upgrade broke this. I suggest reporting this in Fedora's bug tracker before trying to downgrade (if it indeed was caused by an upgrade).
well,
thinking of the upgrade....I have installed OSS for the sound system on my laptop.
Is libasound an alsa lib ? if so then probably that is what broke it !
Well what is the way to fix this ? surely it can't be so that to use the network
config GUI one has to use ALSA for the sound system !?!?!?
