should i update kernel and kernel utils with up2date?

hi i have just finished installing fedora and i realized there were a ton of updates with up2date
however when i first run up2date, there are 2 packages that up2date skips. one is "kernel" and the other is "kernel-utils". i was wondering if i should update these packages.

thanks.any help would be appreciated.

Yes, definitely.

I'm actually not sure why they are excluded by default in up2date, as yum and other update tools aren't configured this way.
